Nollywood actress and public figure Tonto Dikeh has launched a new faith-based initiative, the New Wine Prophetic Tabernacle (NWPT), in Abuja, Nigeria’s capital.
The 41-year-old actress announced the initiative on Sunday, describing it as a spiritual gathering designed for Christians seeking deeper faith, spiritual renewal and a stronger relationship with God.
According to Dikeh, the New Wine Prophetic Tabernacle is intended to encourage believers to pursue a life of prayer, devotion, purity and purpose. She said the initiative would bring Christians together for spiritual fellowship while promoting revival and personal transformation.
Dikeh clarified that the initiative is not being established as a conventional church. Instead, she described it as a meeting point for Christians who are committed to growing spiritually and deepening their walk with God.
The new fellowship is scheduled to hold weekly meetings every Friday at 6:00 p.m. at Omini Grand Hotel, formerly known as Alexis Hotel, upstairs by Masalachi Junction in Jabi, Abuja.
The development marks another major step in Dikeh’s increasingly public expression of her Christian faith. The actress has in recent months spoken openly about her personal spiritual journey and the changes she says she has experienced since embracing her faith more deeply.
Her involvement in religious activities has also extended beyond personal declarations. She has participated in spiritual programmes and recently attracted attention after taking part in a deliverance session involving a secondary school student.
Dikeh’s move into a more organised faith-based initiative comes as she continues to balance her public profile in Nigeria’s entertainment industry with her growing involvement in Christian activities.
The New Wine Prophetic Tabernacle, she said, will focus on creating an environment where believers from different Christian backgrounds can come together for prayer, spiritual development and renewal.
The initiative is expected to draw attention among Dikeh’s large following in Nigeria and across the African diaspora, particularly among fans who have followed her public transformation and increasing emphasis on Christianity.
