A political pressure group, under the agis of Udu Youths in Politics in Udu Local Government Area has hailed the nomination of Hon. (Chief) Peter Okagbare Uviejitobor as Commissioner and member of State Executive Council in Delta State by Executive Governor of Delta State, Rt. Hon. Sheriff F.O. Oborevwori (JP).
Comrade Goodluck Mukoro from Ovwian Community in Udu who spoke on behalf of the youth body, opined that Uviejitobor’s nomination did not come as a surprise, that his track record as two term member of the Delta State House of Assembly has earned him widespread admiration from the Udu people.
Comrade Mukoro added that the former Lawmaker has impacted lives and as well brought the dividends of democracy to the people.
He said that the open door policy Hon. Uviejitobor will make youths have access to the government.
The group strongly believe that Uviejitobor’s nomination will strengthen the party and build support at the grassroot as this can be attested to by mirage of congratulatory messages and support that have poured in since his nomination.
In a similar vain, the Coordinator of PDP Wards Youth Leaders’ Forum in Udu LGA, Comrade Kolodi Jaho Godspower stated that the nomination of Hon. Uviejitobor was the best choice, adding that the choice gladden the hearts of Udu people, particularly the entire youths in Udu.
The body noted that Uviejitobor’s track records while he represented Udu Constituency in the state assembly for two term earned him greater acceptance as his Constituency projects were visible in all communities in Udu.
The Coordinator noted that Uviejitobor’s accessibility and his hard work in PDP gave the party victory in the 2019 general elections, where PDP Governorship Candidate and PDP House of Assembly Candidate won elections for the first time since 1999.
The Coordinator praised the the immediate past Lawmaker, Hon. Uviejitobor for his love for Udu development and urged everyone to rally round him as he opined that he will perform very well on his mandate area.
While congratulating Hon. Uviejitobor for his elevation, the group commended the Governor of Delta State, His Excellency, Rt. Hon. (Chief) Sheriff Oborevwori (JP) for nominating Hon. (Chief) Peter Uviejitobor as Commissioner and member of the State Executive Council.
