The National and Worldwide Executives of the Urhobo Progress Union (UPU) have joined millions of Urhobo sons and daughters across the globe to celebrate the President General, UPU, Barrister Ese Gam Owe, on the occasion of his birthday.
In a statement issued by the National Publicity Secretary, Comrade Kehinde Taiga, on behalf of the leadership and members of the union, the executives described the President General as a distinguished leader whose commitment, vision, and dedication to the unity and progress of the Urhobo nation continue to inspire confidence among people at home and in the diaspora.
According to the statement, the Union has recorded significant achievements under his leadership, including strengthened unity, strategic engagement on community issues, and renewed advocacy for development, peace, and socio-economic advancement.
The statement noted that his tenure has been marked by courage, inclusiveness, and a strong commitment to preserving the cultural heritage and collective interests of the Urhobo people.
Kehinde Taiga further commended the President General for his statesmanship, resilience, and passion for service, describing his leadership as instrumental in amplifying the voice of the Urhobo nation at both national and international levels.
He added that the President General’s emphasis on integrity, accountability, and progressive development has helped to reposition the Union for greater impact.
“As he marks another year of impactful life, we pray for God’s continued guidance, wisdom, strength, and good health to enable him to continue serving the Urhobo nation with distinction,” Taiga stated.
The executives also expressed optimism that the Union would continue to experience growth and stability under the President General’s leadership, while reaffirming their commitment to supporting his vision of unity and sustainable development.
