The leadership of the Urhobo Progress Union (UPU) has extended heartfelt congratulations to His Royal Majesty, the Ovie of Udu Kingdom, following the formal presentation of the Staff of Office by the Delta State Government, officially recognizing him as the constitutional and authentic monarch of Udu Kingdom.

In a congratulatory message issued by Dr. Kehinde Prince Oghenevwaire Taiga, National Publicity Secretary (Hopeful) of the UPU, the organization described the occasion as a “glorious and historic moment” that marks a new dawn of unity, peace, and progress for the Udu people.

Dr. Taiga, speaking on behalf of the UPU leadership under Barrister Ese Gam, noted that the event not only signifies royal affirmation but also represents a divine validation of God’s will for the Udu Kingdom.

“Your ascension and the formal presentation of the Staff of Office symbolize the restoration of dignity, heritage, and identity to our beloved kingdom,” Dr. Taiga stated. “We, the leadership and members of the Urhobo Progress Union, rejoice with you and the entire Udu people on this remarkable achievement.”

The UPU further prayed for a reign marked by peace, prosperity, and divine wisdom, expressing optimism that the new monarch’s leadership will foster unity, development, and cultural pride across the kingdom.

“May your reign be long, prosperous, and filled with divine wisdom. May your leadership bring peace, development, and enduring unity to every community and family within the Udu Kingdom,” the message continued.
