The Urhobo Consultative Forum (UCF) has extended its congratulations to Ede Dafinone following his appointment as Chairman of the Senate Committee on Federal Character and Intergovernmental Affairs.
In a statement released by the Forum, the group described the appointment as well-deserved, citing the senator’s track record of leadership, integrity, and commitment to national service.
The position was conferred by the President of the Senate, Godswill Akpabio, a move the Forum says reflects strong confidence in Dafinone’s capabilities.
The UCF noted that the appointment represents not only a personal milestone for the lawmaker but also a significant moment for the Urhobo people and the Delta Central Senatorial District.
According to the statement, the development reinforces optimism about Dafinone’s ability to promote fairness, equity, and balanced representation within Nigeria’s federal system.
The Forum expressed particular confidence in the senator’s capacity to enhance intergovernmental collaboration and ensure the transparent and inclusive implementation of the Federal Character principle across the country.
Reaffirming its commitment to the progress and unity of the Urhobo nation, the group pledged continued support for Dafinone as he undertakes his new responsibilities.
The statement concluded with prayers for wisdom, strength, and success in his service to the nation.
