Dr. Michael Nwoko, Chief of staff to Senator Ned Nwoko, has called on citizens to embrace love, compassion, and unity as core social values, using this year’s Valentine’s Day celebration as a moment for reflection beyond politics and daily pressures.
In a Valentine message released on Friday, Dr. Michael Nwoko, Chief of Staff to Distinguished Senator Ned Munir Nwoko, emphasized that love remains the foundational force that sustains communities and strengthens society even during difficult times.
According to him, while public life is often dominated by political debates, economic concerns, and professional obligations, enduring progress depends on human connection and shared values.
“Valentine’s Day is a reminder that beyond politics, work, and daily responsibilities, what truly sustains us is love, love for one another, for community, and for the ideals that bring us together,” he said.
Nwoko encouraged citizens and residents to use the occasion to cultivate kindness and reinforce social bonds through renewed friendships and stronger family ties. He noted that compassion and mutual respect are essential pillars for building a stable and forward-looking society.
He further urged young people and community leaders to translate goodwill into everyday action through cooperation and civic responsibility, stressing that unity is most visible in how people treat one another in challenging periods.
Dr. Nwoko, who also serves as Convener and National Coordinator of Youth Structure for Asiwaju, concluded his message with warm wishes to those marking the celebration, reiterating that love remains humanity’s greatest shared strength.
