The African Democratic Congress (ADC) has delivered a blistering rebuke to President Bola Tinubu, telling him to ditch political warfare and confront the real enemies bandits, kidnappers, and terrorists who are bleeding Nigeria dry.
In a fiery statement by National Publicity Secretary Bolaji Abdullahi, the opposition party tore into Tinubu’s recent declaration that he was ready to “fight to the finish” politically, calling it a tone-deaf distraction while bodies pile up across the country.
THE PUNCHLINE
“Mr President, the fight Nigerians elected you to lead is not against the opposition. It is against the terrorists, kidnappers, and armed criminals who continue to kill innocent citizens.”
THE TIMING: OUTRAGEOUS
Just hours before Tinubu’s combative remarks, at least 30 people were slaughtered in Naridon village, Kauru LGA, Kaduna State.
The ADC’s scathing verdict?
“Nigerians did not elect a Commander-in-Chief to become the nation’s chief issuer of condolence statements.”

Reacts with statements Fights to the finish
“Mr President should reserve decisive words like ‘fight to the finish’ for terrorists—not the opposition who want to save Nigerians from his misrule.”
THE VERDICT: FAILURE AFTER 3+ YEARS
The ADC didn’t hold back:
“After more than three years in office, this administration cannot point to a security record that justifies political bravado.”
“Elections are won by performance, not declarations of political toughness.”
FINAL SHOT
“The President’s real opponents are terrorism, banditry, kidnapping, and growing insecurity—and as things stand today, they remain undefeated.”
