The list of persons gunning for the governorship of Delta state has been updated. One Timothy Kevwe, an indigene of Urhobo who may have some knowledge of the scheming in the race, has released the names of 17 aspirants both from Delta Central and Delta South for the 2023 race.

Out of all these people from both Central and South, who do you think will emerge governor of Delta state in 2023? We know that schemings are ongoing. We also heard that names of some persons have been penciled down by powers that hold the state. We also heard that somebody from Delta North has been penciled down for deputy governorship slot and the individual is in the power house of the present administration.

Definitely, surprises are bound to spring up but the pendulum from sources is swinging towards the Okpe area of the state. This comprises Okpe and the Sapele area. The argument is that the Ughelli zone has produced the first civilian governor in the person of Felix Ibru. If that is true, the aspiration of David Edevbie, Peter Mrakpor, Kenneth Gbagi may hit the rocks. But surprises are expected as money can change decisions overnight.
