The Central Bank of Nigeria in a press release by Governor Godwin Emefiele has declared the intention of the CBN to redesign the 200, 500, and 1000 naira notes.

In the aftermath of this announcement as seen on channelstv, the response of the public has been varied.

Here are some

Naira is now N750 to $1. After the Buhari Calamity, some scapegoats must go to jail. This is the one thing I need from Peter Obi. There must be consequences for bad behavior. CBN Governor Godwin Emefiele must go to jail. That man is a saboteur, he destroyed the Naira completely.

The reactions to this development simply show the desire of Nigerians to have a functional economy and many wonder if this is the key to achieving that goal.
