According to Anyafulu, the economic summit demonstrates that the Oborevwori administration is embracing global best practices by creating a platform that brings together government, the private sector, development partners, investors, academia and other critical stakeholders to collectively chart a sustainable economic future for the state.
She noted that the summit would also serve as an opportunity to showcase Delta State’s vast investment potential, innovation and enterprise to the global community while positioning the state as an attractive destination for local and foreign investors.
“The forthcoming summit is a clear demonstration that Delta State is embracing global best practices by creating a platform where government, the private sector, development partners, investors, academia and other critical stakeholders can collectively chart a sustainable pathway for the future of our state,” she said.
Anyafulu further praised Governor Oborevwori’s leadership style, saying transparency, accountability and responsible governance have remained the hallmarks of his administration.
She added that beyond policy declarations, the governor has consistently translated promises into practical actions through the implementation of programmes and projects that have delivered tangible development across the state.
The lawmaker stated that the economic summit reinforces the administration’s vision of building a diversified economy capable of attracting investments, creating employment opportunities, promoting industrialisation, strengthening agriculture and empowering small and medium-scale enterprises.
She also commended the governor for aligning his administration’s MORE Agenda with the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), describing the approach as evidence of visionary leadership anchored on collaboration, innovation, sound policy formulation and measurable development outcomes.
Anyafulu expressed confidence that the resolutions of the summit would produce practical outcomes that would accelerate economic growth, attract greater investments and improve the quality of life of Deltans.
She congratulated Governor Oborevwori for what she described as his visionary leadership and determination to pursue bold initiatives aimed at strengthening the state’s economy and inspiring investor confidence.
The lawmaker also wished delegates, development partners, investors, captains of industry and other participants a successful summit, expressing optimism that the gathering would consolidate Delta State’s position as a model of sustainable development in Nigeria and across Africa.
