As consultation continues to trail who becomes the next Uvwie local government chairman, a notable politician and leader in Uvwie, Chief Wilson Esheti, has called on the good people of Uvwie kingdom for the support of an Uvwie Local Government Chairman hopeful/frontline aspirant, Chief Anthony Ofoni with an assurance that democratic dividends shall be readily available for the people of the local government if elected.

Chief Wilson Esheti, noted that as political consultations heats up in Uvwie, Chief Ofoni who is prepared to contest the Uvwie Council Chairmanship seat in the Delta State PDP forth coming local government primaries is poised to operate an open-door policy if he emerged as the PDP flag bearer in the Local Government Area.

Chief Wilson Esheti, while speaking to newsmen at his country home in Effurun,
urged members of the Peoples’ Democratic Party (PDP) as well as residents in Uvwie kingdom to support the mandate of Chief Ofoni. He commended them for their team spirit in ensuring that peace and harmony prevails in the local government.

While speaking on the ambition of chief Ofoni to contest the chairmanship seat in Uvwie, Chief Wilson Esheti said, Ofoni if elected, has assured to focus more on youths and women empowerment programmes.

He also emphasised that, special attention will be given to the efficiency of Primary and Secondary education in the local government, and he has promised to work together with elders of the local government to attract more dividends of democracy and ensuring maximum productivity.

He noted that Chief Ofoni has been a grassroot mobilizer, a seasoned politician, a community developer and one who has demostrated a high level of tenacity in the democratic highway of Uvwie local government and Delta State in general.

Chief Wilson Esheti, also use the platform to congratulate and commend the Delta State Governor, Senator Dr. Ifeanyi Okowa on his Five years in office as well as the landslide developmental achievement recorded in the State.
