The Delta North People’s Democratic Party (PDP) senatorial candidate, Prince Ned Nwoko, on Friday, 9 December, 2022, successfully rounded off his ward-to-ward senatorial campaign, which he officially flagged-off in November 7, 2022.
The senatorial candidate rounded off his wards campaign with a pledge to serve the people of the district with integrity and commitment. Most especially, the youths, whom according to him, have been neglected for long by the government.
Prince Ned Nwoko, a legal consultant and the chancellor of Sports University, Idumuje Ugboko, who has also been dubbed “Talk and do” by the people, due to his philanthropic nature and track record of fulfilling every promise he makes, said that he would team up with other PDP candidates, at both federal and state levels, to ensure that all promises made during campaign are fulfilled. Most importantly, the N50million grant bill, fashioned to lift millions of youths out of abject poverty.
As he has explained in the various wards visited, the N50million grant would be given every four years in three batches to one million qualified Nigerian youths. To qualify for this grant, you must have an already existing business which has been running for a minimum of two years, a registered business account, and must be able to hire additional five youths in your venture.
According to Nwoko, for this major promise to be fulfilled, Atiku Abubakar, and Governor Ifeanyi Okowa, the PDP presidential and vice presidential candidates, must win the 2023 presidential election, because, both have agreed to take the bill as executive bill if elected. Hence, Nwoko urged the people to not just vote him alone, but also, vote all the PDP candidates in the 2023 general elections. Maintaining that, that would make him a productive senator.
The senatorial candidate who rounded off his wards campaign in Ndokwa East local government, one of the oil producing local governments in Delta state, pointed out the terrible state of the environment caused by the activities of oil and gas industries in the LGA. He threatened to personally take the industries to court if they do not do any thing to remedy the environmental issues.
“Coming here, I discovered terrible environment issues caused by oil and gas industries in this local government. Such environmental pollution is not only hazardous to plants but it also affects our youths.
“I see people living in swamps in the midst of plenty. I promise, we will tackle these issues. If the industries or federal government refuse to do something to remedy the situation, I will personally take them to court,” Nwoko said.
The final wards visited are; ward 4 — Okpai, ward 9 — Ibrede, ward 10 — Ashaka, and ward 1 — Ossissa. All in Ndokwa East local government area, Delta state.
