Double Agent Alert! Adekunle Blasts Fadeyi’s ‘Illegal’ PDP Claim, Vows Legal War

Dr. Ibraheem Adekunle has fired back at Senator Olubiyi Fadeyi, declaring that no amount of political gymnastics will snatch the PDP senatorial ticket from him and he’s ready to take the fight to court.

Adekunle, who insists he is the only validly nominated candidate for Osun Central, labeled Fadeyi’s claim to the ticket as legally laughable. The drama began when Fadeyi dumped the APC for the PDP, claiming he emerged as a factional candidate. But Adekunle isn’t buying it.

“Let’s get this straight—I won the primary. My name is with INEC. End of story,” Adekunle told journalists in Osogbo on Friday.

In a blistering rebuttal, Adekunle raised a red flag over Fadeyi’s controversial timeline:

· Fadeyi allegedly got a PDP waiver on May 8, 2026.
· Just 10 days later (May 18), he was busy buying APC forms, campaigning, and participating in the APC primary for the same seat.

“You cannot be a PDP member on May 8 and an APC aspirant on May 18. Membership isn’t a bus you hop on and off at will. These are serious legal questions,” Adekunle thundered.

He further stressed that by the time Fadeyi was playing APC games, the PDP had already closed its nomination process forms sold, screening done, primary concluded, and his name submitted to INEC.

“I was the sole aspirant in our primary. My emergence followed the party constitution and the Electoral Act to the letter. Any attempt to substitute my name will be met with swift legal action,” he warned.

With the 2027 general election looming, this senatorial showdown is far from over—and all eyes are now on INEC and the courts to decide who truly holds the card.
