The media team of Dr Michael Nwoko has dismissed as false and malicious a video circulating on the Facebook page of Igbo Ezue TV, alleging discord between Nwoko and his principal, Senator Ned Nwoko.
In a statement issued on Sunday, the media team described the video as an attempt by detractors to mislead the public, cause disunity and blackmail Dr Michael Nwoko for what it described as pecuniary gains.
The team said there was no rift between the two politicians, stressing that Dr Michael Nwoko remains the Chief of Staff to Senator Ned Nwoko, who represents Delta North Senatorial District in the National Assembly.
According to the statement, the relationship between the two men remains “cordial, productive and based on mutual trust, loyalty and shared vision for Delta North and Nigeria.”
It further stated that Dr Michael Nwoko had consistently prioritised the re-election and political success of Senator Ned Nwoko, while projecting the senator’s legislative activities, projects and empowerment programmes in areas including healthcare, infrastructure and human capital development.
The media team also said Nwoko had publicly reaffirmed Senator Ned Nwoko’s support for President Bola Ahmed Tinubu and the All Progressives Congress (APC) ahead of the 2027 general elections.
Beyond his role as Chief of Staff, the statement highlighted Dr Michael Nwoko’s political activities within the APC, describing him as the South-South Zonal Coordinator for Contact and Mobilisation of the City Boy Movement and Convener of Youth Structures for Asiwaju (YS4A).
The team claimed that Nwoko has established youth and grassroots mobilisation structures across Nigeria, including the 36 states and the Federal Capital Territory, describing his mobilisation capacity as a major asset ahead of the 2027 elections.
It said his political activities had earned him the nickname “Political Oshobe,” while insisting that his focus remained on grassroots mobilisation, party unity and support for the Renewed Hope Agenda.
“We therefore urge all well-meaning Deltans, supporters of Senator Ned Nwoko, members of City Boy Movement, YS4A and the general public to disregard the video and its sponsors,” the statement said.
The media team maintained that the circulating video was an attempt to create distraction and division, adding that Dr Michael Nwoko remained focused on effective representation of his principal, promoting unity within the APC in Delta State and mobilising support for the party ahead of the 2027 elections.
It urged members of the public to rely on verified information concerning the activities and relationship between Dr Michael Nwoko and Senator Ned Nwoko.
