Unknown gun men on Wednesday, March 31, 2021 invaded Isuofia town meeting hall where Prof. Chukwuma Soludo, Anambra State gubernatorial aspirant under All Progressives Grand Alliance was holding a meeting with the town youths.
An eye witness told Emerald News that Prof. Soludo who was present at the venue was able to take off safely while the attack was on-going.
According to our source, three mobile police men were killed on the spot by the gunmen.
Emerald News gathered that a man close to Soludo was taken away by the gunmen.
Our source said that Anambra Police Command accepted that they have received the report of the incident and promised to issue a press release.
Emerald News gathered that though no group has claimed responsibility for the attack, our source said there were speculations that the attack was politically motivated.
