Abia State Gubernatorial Candidate of the Nigeria Democratic Congress(NDC), Chief Ndubuisi Etugo Ogah, has insisted that he is not a placeholder for anybody or any political party, adding that he’s remains the authentic governorship standard-bearer of the NDC for the 2027 election in Abia state.
In a statement on Saturday, against the backdrops of widespread rumours in many quarters in Abia state purportedly describing him as a political place holders, Chief Ndubuisi Etugo Ogah, reminded critics that his decision to contest state governorship seat election in 2027 is predicated on service to the people and fostering genuine socio-economic and infrastructural development in Abia state.
According to him, “I, Ndubuisi Ogah is not a placeholder. I’m with my two legs standing firmly as governorship standard-bearer of the NDC in Abia state. And I am not fronting for anybody. Nobody is sponsoring me to front for him or her. I am participating fully in the forthcoming elections to the end.
“I am in Abia state governorship race to win and change the ugly narrative of governance in Abia by raising the bar in human capital development, industrialization, job and weath creations. When elected as state governor, my administration will implement robust policies and initiate programs towards strengthening all relevant Abia’s democratic institutions of government for efficient service delivery and results. Our administration would engender gigantic projects more than what is on the ground, for the good of our people and our dear state,” he assured.
Chief Ogah promised when elected as governor of Abia state, to redefine governance in Abia state by fostering improved education, efficient healthcare delivery service and effective security architecture for the growths of the state.
While reiterating his unwavering commitment to enhancement of human welfare and engendering even development across all local government areas of Abia state, the foremost industrialist, restated that he is not a placeholder for anybody or political party, urging the good people of Abia State and indeed the general public, to disregard the wrongful notions which was orchestrated by disgruntled elements whom are afraid of the imminent defeat in the next year’s main elections in Abia state by the national electoral commission.
Chief Ogah further used the medium to urge all NDC members, teeming supporters and indeed, entire Abians to remain steadfast with their maximum support to the party as the party is poised to win the majority of elective seats in Abia State in next year’s elections and provide basic dividends of democracy to every doorsteps of Abia citizens when assumed office.
