After seven harrowing days in the hands of abductors, Hon. Justice Faruku Hassan Bunza, a High Court judge in Kebbi State, has regained his freedom and returned safely to his family.

A close relative confirmed the joyous development to our correspondent on Monday, revealing that the judge arrived home earlier in the day. “We are overwhelmed with joy and gratitude to God. He came back to us a few hours ago after spending a full week with the bandits. It feels like a miracle,” the family member said.

The family extended heartfelt appreciation to everyone who stood by them during the tense ordeal. “We are deeply grateful to the Kebbi State Judiciary, the security agencies, and the good people of Kebbi State for their prayers, messages of support, and every form of assistance. Your solidarity gave us strength when we needed it most,” the relative added.

While the family confirmed his release, they remained tight-lipped about the circumstances surrounding it, stating that further details would be disclosed later. “We will share more information on how he was freed in due course,” the source said.

At the time of this report, neither the Kebbi State Judiciary nor security authorities had issued an official statement regarding the development.
