Governor Samuel Ortom of Benue state has said that the leaders of the Miyetti Allah in 2006 met in Yola the Adamawa state capital and took decision they must take over Nigeria as their own and that every other person living in the country must be their slaves. He said this is why they are infiltrating every part of the country.
This revelation was made when he gave account of his encounter while returning from his farm on Saturday. He was attacked by gunmen whom he said were wearing black. He said from his experience they were Fulani militia who had vowed to eliminate him.
He said he learnt that they are singling him out for elimination as he is the only person who is creating problem for them in the entire country.  He said such revelation is quite disturbing.
He said they have agreed to go after him anywhere in the country, in his farm, office, on the road, everywhere. He said this is not the first time.
“I have intelligent report that these people say they will go after me, they will kill my security aides, capture me alive and give me gradual killing. My life is in the hands of God not in the hands of Fulani herdsmen.
“I will remain firm, I will fight for the truth, justice and equity until when God permits. It is only God that can permit my exit from the earth. Fulani men will continue to fail.
“I appreciate the security personnel attached bro me. They were able to repel them and they could not have access to me. I’m not going to subject myself to any intimation.
“I have no problem with Fulani men nor the Fulani race. But I have problem with Fulani bandits who have vowed to take over Nigeria as their ancestral home. I say No. Not when I’m governor of Benue state. You can’t take Benue state.
“Other states can give their lands to be slaves to Fulani men, I have no problem with them. I have consulted with my people and what I’m doing is in line with the wish of my people and there I stand.”
He said he would make a petition against the leadership of Miyetti Allah because they are responsible for making arrangement of trying to eliminate him.
He said he has been calling for the arrest of these men since 2017 but they have been going about their business without security men inviting them for questioning.
