Ned Nwoko extends condolences to victims’ families of Koko junction tanker explosion, calls for safety measures

Senator Ned Munir Nwoko, representing Delta North senatorial district, has expressed his deep condolences to the families affected by the tragic Koko junction tanker explosion in Delta State. He conveyed his profound sadness regarding the incident, stating that his heart goes out to all the families who have suffered losses.

Senator Nwoko also stressed the importance of taking action to prevent similar incidents in the future. He highlighted the need for advocating stricter regulations, improved driver training, and enhanced safety measures for the transportation of hazardous materials. Additionally, he emphasized the significance of careful route planning and educating communities about the associated risks.

He further echoed the the importance of raising awareness about the dangers of attempting to collect spilled fuel, emphasizing personal safety and responsible actions during emergencies.

In his words, “I am truly saddened to hear about the devastating Koko junction tanker explosion and the lives it has taken. My heart goes out to all the families who have lost their loved ones in this tragic incident. I cannot fathom the pain and grief you must be experiencing.

“As we mourn the lives tragically lost, it is also crucial that we take action to prevent such heartbreaking incidents in the future. We must advocate for stricter regulations, driver training, and enhanced safety measures in the transportation of hazardous materials. It is imperative that routes are carefully planned, and communities are educated about the risks.

“We must also raise awareness about the dangers of attempting to collect spilled fuel, emphasizing the importance of personal safety and responsible actions in the face of such emergencies.
