Biafra supporters in Asaba, Delta state, have called on the South East governors to support Nnamdi Kanu to canvass for the realization of Biafra Republic.
Although many Nigerians including the federal government have subscribed to the proscription of IPOB, banning its activities in the region, his supporters are going wild, calling for support for his movement.
Some persons who responded to Emerald News said that it was unfortunate that the South Eastern governors seem not to understand the body language of President Muhammadu Buhari.
Comrade Leo Ogbuefi said that the governors lack the courage to accept the secret behind the spate of attacks in Igbo land.
Ogbuefi said that after the Nimbo massacre, Governor Ifeanyi Ugwuanyi of Enugu state cried soberly at home, but when he went to meet Mr. President over the same issue, he began to laugh.
According to him, the governors needed to face the reality and take the bull by the horn to let Mr. President know that they are not happy with his tribalistic gestures.
Chief Donatus Munagi told Emerald News that the South East governors should understand the pranks of Mr. President whom he said has not felt any remorse over any disaster that happened in the east.
“Till date, Buhari has never condemned any genocide that took place in Igbo land and the middle belt. Who knows what would have become of us if not Nnamdi Kanu who is exposing all their subterranean plans”. Mr. Munagi noted.
He prayed that the enemies of Igbos and middle belt people will not take them by surprise one day.
In her contribution, Mrs. Regina Igwe wondered why the political leaders in the east are slumbering despite Mr. President’ s ethnic segregation which she said is telling on the igbos.
Mrs. Igwe said that now she understood why Alhaji Bola Tinubu in 2003 described Buhari as a religion fanatic.
She quoted an APC chieftain who said: “Muhammadu Buhari is a religious fanatic who, if given the chance, would ensure the disintegration of the country”.
“His ethnocentrism would jeopardize Nigeria’s national unity”.
She, however, urged the South Easterners to entirely join Nnamdi Kanu to devise a better strategy to ensure that Biafra Republic comes into existence.
