The Delta North senator-elect, Prince Ned Nwoko, has paid a condolence visit to Senator Orji Uzor Kalu, former governor of Abia State and Chief Whip of the Nigerian Senate, over the death of his wife, Mrs Ifeoma Ada Kalu.
Nwoko, alongside his actress wife, Mrs Regina Daniels-Nwoko, visited the Chief Whip at his Aso Villa home, Abuja, on Sunday, 23 April.
The senator-elect whom had earlier sent a condolence message weeks ago to the Kalu’s, described the death of Mrs Ifeoma Kalu as tragic and painful.
He, encouraged the family to take solace in the fact that she lived an exemplary family life before her passing unto glory and also urged them to trust God for comfort in this period of deep reflection.
“…the news of her death was a sad development. It is very painful and tragic. I condole with my friend Orji Kalu and family. Mrs Kalu lived an exemplary family life. May the family find comfort as they endure this period of pain and deep reflection..” The condolence message read.
Commiserating with the entire family in person on Sunday, Nwoko restated that they should be consoled by the worthy legacies of service, honour and Intergrity left behind by their beloved mother and wife, which have become a reference point to this and future generations.
Responding, Kalu, who warmly received Nwoko and his entourage, thanked him for empathising with his family in their moment of grief, noting that they have accepted the will of the Almighty.
The visit which lasted for about two hours, offered Nwoko the opportunity to meet and interact with other dignitaries who were also present at Kalu’s. They include Senator Chris Adighijie, Senator Anyim Pius Anyim, and Chief Emma Omokwe.
