Senator Ned Nwoko recently attended an Iftar dinner hosted by the Chairman of the Progressive Governors’ Forum, Governor Hope Uzodinma of Imo State, marking a meaningful occasion of reflection and unity.

The event brought together key political and religious figures, underscoring a shared commitment to values that strengthen society.

In a post on Facebook, Senator Nwoko reflected on the significance of Ramadan, drawing attention to its universal call for deep reflection, sacrifice, and a renewed commitment to faith and compassion.

He highlighted that, much like other spiritual seasons observed by various faiths, Ramadan encourages humility, kindness, and service to others.

The Senator made a poignant comparison between Ramadan and similar periods in Christianity, such as Lent and Easter, which also emphasize the importance of love, peace, and community service.

“These sacred seasons of fasting and prayer, regardless of our religious backgrounds, remind us that love, peace, and service to humanity are the values that bind us together,” Senator Nwoko said.

He further emphasized that, as leaders, it is their responsibility to ensure governance is grounded in integrity, fairness, and a sincere desire to improve the lives of the people.

The Senator expressed his gratitude to Governor Uzodinma and all other guests for an evening of meaningful dialogue, offering his well wishes for renewed strength, blessings, and peace for the nation and beyond during this sacred period.

Senator Nwoko concluded by stressing the importance of fostering unity and working together to create a more just and inclusive world, rooted in shared devotion and a collective commitment to the greater good of humanity.
