A lot of Nigerians are on various media platforms for funfare. The knowledge as to how their lives can be changed and dreams become a reality is a mirage as all some people do on socail media is to post pictures and read stories and make comments. Do you know that amidst the high unemployment situation in the country, many people are picking up their job dreams as the clock is ticking by?
One important social media platform through which you can have access to job opportunities is LinkedIn. Unfortunately, many people are perishing and wallowing in the mud of poverty orchestrated by unemployment for lack of knowledge of how much this platform can help them come out of low income category.
A recruitment agency on the platform recently shared a story that points to the fact that one can be immersed in a pool of clean water and still be covered in soapy foams.
Recently, a young man wrote to a recruitment service on LinkedIn lamenting on how he has been on the platform without getting any job offer. After further questioning, it was discovered that the young man had a wrong profile. He was an accountant but his profile read otherwise. He was advised to update his profile to reflect his personality and the kind of job is looking for.
Fortunately, for him, he took the cue and was able to get his dream job.
This is indeed an eye-opener to Nigerians who are busy burning data, without getting any returns. This is not the time to sit on the fence, hoping for something to fall down from the sky. If you are seeking for a job, or you are into  business, it is important that you ensure that your profile on all your social media handles reflects who you really are and what you are capable of offering to the society.
