The National Headquarters of the Civilian Joint Task Force (CJTF) Nigeria has officially appointed retired Sergeant Ovie Enamuotor as the new Delta State Commander of the organization, following the dismissal and removal of the former commander, Mr. Gift Ike Nwanji.
The appointment was announced in an official letter signed by the National Chairman of the Civilian Joint Task Force Nigeria, Prof. Engr. Kalinia Muhammed, who conferred full authority and command responsibilities on Enamuotor with immediate effect.

According to the statement, all powers, duties, privileges, and command structures previously vested in the former Delta State Commander have been transferred to Enamuotor to ensure effective administration and leadership of the Delta State Command.
Prof. Muhammed said the appointment was based on Enamuotor’s dedication, loyalty, leadership qualities, and significant contributions to the growth and development of the CJTF in Delta State.
The National Chairman particularly commended Enamuotor for his role in strengthening the organization and his contributions to the establishment and development of the CJTF Delta State Headquarters in Abraka, describing the facility as a testament to his vision and commitment to service.
“As the duly appointed Delta State Commander, you are empowered to oversee and coordinate all CJTF activities within Delta State, establish and supervise local government and community structures, maintain discipline among members, promote peace and unity.
“You are also to protect the image and integrity of the organization, and collaborate with relevant government agencies, traditional institutions, security organizations, and stakeholders in the interest of public safety and community development,” the letter stated.
The National Headquarters also directed all officers, members, state executives, local government coordinators, and affiliated units of the CJTF in Delta State to recognize and cooperate fully with Enamuotor as the legitimate State Commander.
Prof. Muhammed expressed confidence in the new commander’s ability to lead the Delta State Command to greater achievements and urged him to discharge his duties with integrity, professionalism, accountability, and loyalty to the objectives of the organization.
Meanwhile, the CJTF National Headquarters reaffirmed its recognition of state commanders across various parts of the country, including Borno, FCT Abuja, Niger, Kaduna, Kogi, Rivers, Delta, Kebbi, Sokoto, Jigawa, Nasarawa, Katsina, Bauchi, Kano, Akwa Ibom, Plateau, Ogun, Edo, Zamfara, Benue, and Bayelsa states.
The announcement forms part of the organization’s ongoing efforts to strengthen its leadership structure and enhance its role in supporting security, community development, and humanitarian service across Nigeria.
The Civilian Joint Task Force Nigeria operates under the motto, “Service to Humanity, Security and Community Development.”
