Dr. Michael Nwoko, Chief of Staff to Senator Ned Munir Nwoko, has charged young Nigerians to remain focused and intentional in the pursuit of excellence, noting that the future belongs to those who combine ambition with discipline and clarity of purpose.
He spoke at the matriculation ceremony of Cosmopolitan University, Abuja, held on April 11, 2026, where he addressed students and shared his perspective on youth development and leadership.
“When I see young people who are determined to excel in their chosen careers and also attain a rational pinnacle of excellence in life, it gives me a whole lot of joy, and I do my best to identify with them,” he said.
Dr. Nwoko emphasised the importance of aligning personal goals with societal impact, urging the matriculating students to take their academic journey seriously and position themselves for relevance in a competitive global environment.
He noted that excellence goes beyond academic performance, stressing the need for character, consistency, and a clear sense of direction. According to him, young people must resist distractions and remain committed to building skills and values that will distinguish them in their respective fields.
