The Nigeria Democratic Congress (NDC) has announced that the official names of winners from its recently concluded nationwide primary elections will be released after the party’s National Executive Council (NEC) meeting scheduled for June 3, 2026, in Abuja.
The party made this known in a press statement issued by its National Publicity Secretary, Osa Director Esq., following the conduct of its primaries on May 28 and 29 across the country.
According to the statement, the NDC urged the public and party supporters to ignore unofficial results currently circulating on social media, insisting that only the party’s NEC has the authority to announce the authentic outcomes of the primaries.
“The results of the primaries are with the National Executive Council, NEC of our great party. They are solely responsible for announcements of results,” the statement said.
The party further revealed that, on the directive of the National Leader of the NDC, Distinguished Senator Seriake Dickson, all NEC members have been summoned to Abuja for a pre-NEC meeting on Tuesday, June 2, while the main NEC meeting will hold on Wednesday, June 3, 2026.
The NDC stated that the names of candidates who emerged from the primaries would be made public after the party concludes its internal processes and forwards the list of candidates to the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC).
