The African Democratic Congress (ADC) in Jigawa State has declared that the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) can be defeated in Nigeria’s 2027 general elections.
ADC State Chairman, Dr Sani Muhammad Gumel, made the declaration while speaking to journalists, expressing confidence that his party could win the election and form the next government in Jigawa State.
Gumel said the APC’s control of government should not be seen as a guarantee of electoral victory, insisting that the ADC remains determined to challenge the ruling party at the polls.
His comments highlight the growing political competition ahead of Nigeria’s 2027 elections, with opposition parties positioning themselves for a stronger challenge across the country.
