Governor Umar Namadi emphasizes grassroots connection and merit-based appointments as new advisers take oath of office

Jigawa State Governor, Umar Namadi, has sworn in six new aides with a strong call for teamwork, dedication, and unwavering commitment to the oath of office in service of the state’s development agenda.

The swearing-in ceremony, administered by the state’s Attorney-General and Commissioner of Justice, Abdulkadir Fanini, took place on Monday at the Council Chamber of the Jigawa State Government House in Dutse, the state capital.

Following the oath-taking, the appointees signed their official forms before the governor and members of the State Executive Council, witnessed by hundreds of family members, friends, and well-wishers.

“The appointees are of the grassroots and have been appointed on merit,” he affirmed.

Reminding the newly sworn-in officials of the weight of public office, the governor urged them to always remain guided by their oath.

“I call on you to always remember your oath of office as it will surely guide you in the discharge of your duties,” he said.

Governor Namadi also stressed the importance of collaboration, encouraging the appointees to work as cohesive teams to achieve meaningful results.

“I urge you to work in teams for better results that will positively impact the lives of our people,” he added, wishing them success in their new roles.
