The Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) has uploaded over a quarter of polling unit results from Saturday’s Osun State governorship election to its official Result Viewing (IReV) portal, marking a significant step toward electoral transparency.
The upload process commenced shortly after voting officially concluded across polling units statewide, following INEC’s scheduled 2:30 PM closure time.
As of the time of this report, results from 1,011 out of 3,763 polling units have been successfully transmitted to the IReV platform, representing 26.87% of the total expected results from the governorship election.
This development signals the active phase of electronic transmission and public result viewing, as INEC officials proceed with the collation and announcement of final figures. The IReV portal, designed to enhance electoral credibility, enables citizens, observers, political parties, and other stakeholders to access polling unit results in real-time, reinforcing public confidence in the electoral process.
