The Nigeria Police Force has declared controversial journalist, Tega Samson Oghenedoro, popularly known as Fejiro Oliver, wanted over alleged cyberstalking and defamatory publications made on social media.
A Special Police Gazette Bulletin issued by the Office of the Deputy Commissioner of Police, Criminal Investigation Department (CID), Delta State Police Command Headquarters, Asaba, as was published in an advertorial on page 45 of Vanguard Newspaper, Friday, August 8th, 2026, said Oghenedoro is being sought in connection with alleged offences linked to posts published through a Facebook account bearing the name “Fejiro Oliver.”
According to the police, the alleged offences were committed between May and July 2025 on the Facebook platform. The gazette, issued under the authority of the Inspector-General of Police, described the suspect as a 38-year-old Urhobo journalist.
The bulletin also contained his physical description, stating that he is about 1.6 metres tall, of medium build, with a copper complexion, oval face and thick hair. It listed his last known address as Cyrus Excel Estate, Abuja, while identifying Lagos and Abuja as locations he was known to frequent.
The police appealed to members of the public with useful information on his whereabouts to report to the nearest police station or contact the Office of the Deputy Commissioner of Police, CID, at the Delta State Police Command Headquarters, Okpanam Road, Asaba. A dedicated telephone number was also provided for information relating to the case.
The declaration followed an ongoing police investigation into the alleged offences. Under Nigerian law, a declaration of wanted status does not constitute proof of guilt, and Oghenedoro remains presumed innocent unless and until a court of competent jurisdiction finds otherwise.
