Afrobeats star Davido has warned Pauline Ugonyeka, the Resident Electoral Commissioner of the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) in Ebonyi State, that her mission in Osun State will fail.
Davido made the statement in a post on his verified X account on Friday, August 14, 2026.
The singer had earlier questioned why Ugonyeka was in Osun State ahead of the governorship election, despite Osun not being her assigned state.
Reacting to reports that she remained in the state, Davido said Osun voters would protect their votes.
The Osun State governorship election is scheduled for August 15, 2026, with incumbent Governor Ademola Adeleke seeking re-election against candidates from the All Progressives Congress (APC), African Democratic Congress (ADC) and other political parties.
