Peter Obi has condemned the abduction of worshippers in Enugu State, describing the incident as another sign of Nigeria’s deepening security crisis.
In a statement shared on Monday, Obi said no Nigerian should fear attending church, school, work, or remaining in their own home. He warned that insecurity is no longer limited to a few states but has become a nationwide challenge affecting people regardless of their ethnicity, religion, or region.
The former Anambra State governor called on Nigerians to unite against insecurity, urging leaders to put aside political and ethnic differences in addressing the growing threat.
Obi also appealed to security agencies to intensify efforts to rescue the kidnapped worshippers and ensure those responsible are arrested and prosecuted. He stressed that every Nigerian life is valuable and expressed hope that the country can overcome its security challenges.
