The Rivers state governor, Nyeson Wike has inaugurated the first batch of 100,000 special assistants on political unit affairs.
Recall that the governor had revealed his plans of appointing nothing less than 100,000 people that will officially assist and see to the success of 2023 general elections in Rivers state.
Wike took to his Twitter handle to share these photos from the inauguration.
He said, “Today I inaugurated the first batch of 100,000 Special Assistants on Political Unit Affairs for Rivers South-East and Rivers South West Senatorial Districts.”
Earlier today, 3 November, Wike also revealed that the state has released N78bn for the award of new contracts and completion of ongoing projects.
