Rainbow Coalition vows no victimization as rival factions embrace reconciliation

In a dramatic turnaround that signals the end of months of political tension, allies of Minister Nyesom Wike and Governor Siminalayi Fubara have begun closing ranks, with peace efforts now gathering unstoppable momentum in Rivers State.

The reconciliation committee of the Rainbow Coalition, led by Senator Magnus Abe, met with Governor Fubara on Sunday at Government House, Port Harcourt—their second meeting in just two weeks and declared that no member would face victimization or discrimination regardless of past political disagreements.

“The Family Is Back”

Dr. Samuel Nwanosike, Publicity Secretary of the APC South-South Zone, expressed excitement about the breakthrough:

“I’m so excited. The last meeting went well. Today’s meeting went extraordinarily well, and it shows clearly to the people of Rivers State that the family is back; sincerely back, and soon, they will see the working of the Rainbow Coalition.”

Committee Chairman Speaks

Senator Abe, addressing journalists after the meeting, emphasized the significance of the reconciliation:

“I’m sure that Rivers people will be very curious to understand exactly what we have been talking about. We are all in agreement, and we have made very good progress. Our coming together signals a significant shift in the political atmosphere of the state.”

What Remains

Stakeholder Chief Ambrose Nwuzi revealed that all that remains is for Minister Wike to officially seal the reconciliation process, which has been ongoing for weeks. He described the past disagreements as “a normal occurrence in any human society.”
