Anambra Governor Chukwuma Soludo says President Bola Tinubu isn’t just fixing roads he’s healing the deepest wounds of Nigeria’s civil war, one highway at a time.
In a fiery X post on Wednesday, Soludo revealed that Tinubu has greenlit two massive road projects that will stitch the Southeast back to the rest of Nigeria.
The game-changers:
· 108km Otuocha–Anam–Abaji road – linking Anambra to Kogi
· 150km Oba–Nnewi–Uga–Ihube road – connecting Anambra, Imo, and Abia to the Enugu-Port Harcourt expressway
“President Tinubu has a date with history,” Soludo declared. “He’s orchestrating the reconstruction of the Southeast—finally healing the wounds of the Civil War.”
The timeline:
· July 1: Soludo meets Tinubu
· July 2: Works Minister Dave Umahi calls for project details
· July 3: Soludo submits both proposals
· July 15: Tinubu approves “design and procurement”
Soludo didn’t hold back praise: “The man who tamed the Atlantic Ocean in Lagos is redefining politics. The Southeast won’t be the same again.”
His parting shot? “History will be kind to you, Mr. President.”
For Soludo, this is what politics should be: collaboration, results, and roads that change lives.
