Nigeria have established themselves as the dominant force in the history of the Women’s Africa Cup of Nations (WAFCON), with a record 10 titles.
Since the competition began in 1991, only three nations have lifted the continental trophy: Nigeria, Equatorial Guinea and South Africa.
Nigeria won their latest title in 2025 after a dramatic comeback against hosts Morocco, recovering from a two-goal deficit to secure a 3-2 victory in the final.
The Super Falcons’ 10 championships came in 1998, 2000, 2002, 2004, 2006, 2010, 2014, 2016, 2018 and 2025.
Equatorial Guinea have won the competition twice, in 2008 and 2012, while South Africa claimed their first WAFCON title in 2022.
Nigeria’s dominance has made them the most successful team in the tournament’s history, with the Super Falcons also holding records for appearances and goals scored.
