Delta state Police Command received information about an armed robbery syndicate who operates around Awka-Enugu highway axis but come to Asaba to lie low.
Acting on intelligence report, Police operatives of CP Decoy squad mobilized to Oduke-Oke axis of Asaba.
Upon sighting the Police, the suspects who were driving a Toyota Sienna SUV with Registration number ASB 781 YF, abandoned their vehicle and took into the crowd of market.
After conducting search on the vehicle, the Police recovered one locally made Barretta pistol and a Samsung phone. Both items were found beneath the driver’s seat.
The State’s Police public relations officer, DSP Bright Edafe assured that investigation is still ongoing.
