Foremost PDP governorship aspirant for the Delta 2023 polls, Chief Barrister Kenneth Gbagi, got a resounding nod from Delta North indigenes resident in Lagos over his ambition to succeed Governor lfeanyi Okowa, affirming that they are solidly behind him in his quest to govern Delta come 2023
The Delta North residents in Lagos comprising entrepreneurs,  business moguls, women, youths and Presidents General from the entire nine local governments of the senatorial district, said they are sure footed that Gbagi’s wealth of experience in the job and wealth creation and capacity building sectors, as well as his unblemished personal integrity, legal and administrative dexterity coupled with his philantropist disposition and empathy for the less privileged, were veritable character traits Delta badly needs at this point in time where the socio-economic indices need a time tested technocrat to be at the saddle.
This was the consensus in Lagos , penultimate weekend, at the conference Hall of the Radisson Blu Resorts, Victoria lsland, during a Gbagi Solidarity movement of stakeholders evening of Concerned Delta North Senatorial residents in Lagos.
The stakeholders evening of Concerned Delta Northerners , which was convened especially to rub minds on the way forward, was well attended , with speaker after speaker eulogizing the former minister of state for education and erstwhile Chair of the Legal Aid Council, for being an employer of labour and creator of enabling environment for businesses to thrive in Delta and beyond.
They decried the continuous neglect by the federal government , especially as it affects the oil and gas bearing communities of Delta North, lamenting the dearth of basic necessities such as potable water, access to education, motorable roads, electricity and employment opportunities among others.
They urged him not to be deterred in his quest of repositioning Delta’s economy through germane job creation , industrialization initiatives as well as prudence in the running of the affairs of state such that every component part of the state will benefit from rapid development and harmony when he is elected.
Responding, an elated Chief Kenneth Gbagi , thanked the Concerned Delta North residents in Lagos for their support and belief in his capacity to add value to their areas if given the opportunity to occupy Dennis Osadebay House, Asaba, come May 29, 2023.
He pledged to always support the Okowa administration’s stronger Delta vision to its logical conclusion, adding that Deltans deserve someone who will build on Okowa’s legacies of rapid infrastructural development, job and wealth creation , as well as sustainable modules of security of lives and persons , to succeed him in 2023.
Gbagi said: “l can’t begin to adequately express my appreciation enough for your massive turn out to support my aspiration to govern the good people of Delta after the second term of our amiable and result oriented governor, Senator lfeany Okowa, winds  down on May 29, 2023.
“I am overwhelmed with your show of solidarity and love and promise to use this as a further proof that our modest contributions to the economy of the state through job and wealth creation is recognized. Continue to pray with , and , for me and hopefully we shall all be part of history on May 29, 2023”.
