Nigeria’s Falconets have been knocked out of the 2026 FIFA U-20 Women’s World Cup in Poland after suffering a 1-0 quarter-final defeat to Colombia on Sunday.
The result ended Nigeria’s campaign in the tournament, while Colombia advanced to the last four of the competition.
North Korea also secured a semi-final place after defeating Canada 2-0, joining Spain and Italy, who had already booked their places after winning their quarter-final matches on Saturday.
The semi-final fixtures will be played on Wednesday, with Spain facing Italy in the first clash before Colombia takes on North Korea for a place in the final.
The four remaining teams will now battle for a place in the final of the FIFA U-20 Women’s World Cup, while Nigeria’s Falconets bow out at the quarter-final stage.
