Nasarawa State Governor, Engr. Abdullahi Sule, has forwarded the names of eight new commissioner-nominees to the State House of Assembly in a decisive move to reinvigorate his administration and boost service delivery across the state.
The Speaker of the Assembly, Rt. Hon. Danladi Jatau, read the governor’s letter during plenary on Wednesday in Lafia, officially announcing the list of nominees to the lawmakers.
According to the Speaker, the nominees include: Muhammad Habeeb Nagogo (Wamba LGA); Ahmed Yakubu Mohammed (Lafia LGA); Hon. Mohammed Baba Shehu (Keffi LGA); Hon. Mohammed Iyimoga (Obi LGA); Adamu Rabecca Kpadji (Wamba LGA); Nawani Aboki (Doma LGA); Jibril Abdullahi Ibrahim, FCNA (Nasarawa LGA); and Ashefo Daniel Paul, PhD (Lafia LGA).
The Speaker directed the Clerk of the House to officially notify the nominees and request the submission of 30 copies of their curriculum vitae each, ahead of their screening exercise.
The confirmation hearings are scheduled to hold on Friday, August 7, 2026, and the appointments will take effect only after the nominees are successfully screened and confirmed by the State House of Assembly.
