The Urhobo Progress Union (UPU) Worldwide has extended warm congratulations to the Governor of Delta State, Rt. Hon. Sheriff Francis Orohwedor Oborevwori, on the occasion of his birthday, describing him as a distinguished statesman, visionary leader, and worthy ambassador of the Urhobo Nation.
In a goodwill message signed by the National Publicity Secretary of the UPU Worldwide, Dr. Kehinde Prince Taiga, on behalf of the President-General, Chief Barr. Ese Gam Owe, the union lauded Governor Oborevwori’s contributions to the development of Delta State and his commitment to public service.
The message, jointly issued by the UPU Worldwide leadership, including its National Executive Council, Board of Trustees, Elders Council, and the entire Urhobo Nation, celebrated the governor as one of the finest sons of Urhobo land whose achievements continue to inspire generations.
According to the union, Governor Oborevwori has consistently demonstrated the values of hard work, humility, integrity, and dedication to service, qualities that have earned him respect across Delta State and beyond.
The UPU noted that the governor’s emergence as the state’s chief executive remains a source of immense pride to the Urhobo people and a reflection of the potential and excellence of the ethnic nationality.
The organization also commended the governor’s administration for the successful implementation of the MORE Agenda, which it said has delivered significant progress in key sectors, including infrastructure, education, healthcare, youth empowerment, security, and economic development.
The union further praised Governor Oborevwori for promoting unity among the diverse ethnic groups in Delta State and for fostering peace, inclusive governance, and sustainable development.
“As a worthy son of Urhobo land, he has demonstrated exceptional statesmanship and a deep commitment to the welfare and prosperity of all Deltans,” the statement read.
The UPU emphasized that the governor’s leadership has continued to strengthen social cohesion while advancing the growth and development of the state.
Marking the occasion, the union offered prayers for the governor’s continued good health, wisdom, strength, and divine guidance in the discharge of his responsibilities.
The organization also wished him many more years of fruitful service, peace, happiness, and greater accomplishments.
