A chieftain of the PDP in constituency 4 of Southern Ijaw local government area of Bayelsa state, Hon. Basil Kenbo has escaped death by the whiskers following the invasion of the constituency by civilians dressed in military uniforms and armed with sophisticated weapons.
Kenbo, who was reported to have engaged in heated argument with the armed men, was nearly killed before the intervention of some youths of the constituency.
A check showed that hundreds of voters waiting to cast their votes ran for their dear lives, while others protested against the use of civilians in military uniforms without a counter operation by the Nigerian Army to fish out the impostors.
