Dennis Idahosa rewards Delight Amayaenvbo’s exceptional academic feat to inspire Edo youths
Edo State Deputy Governor, Dennis Idahosa, has rewarded academic excellence in grand style, presenting a N1 million cash gift to Delight Amayaenvbo, a brilliant Edo student who achieved straight As in the West African Senior School Certificate Examination (WASSCE).
The deputy governor, who described Delight’s outstanding performance as a testament to hard work, discipline, and determination, commended the young scholar for making his family and Edo State proud.
In a statement issued Wednesday by his Chief Press Secretary, Friday Aghedo, Idahosa emphasized the importance of encouraging and celebrating academic excellence among young people.
“This gesture is intended not only to reward Delight’s exceptional performance but also to inspire other Edo youths to take their education seriously and strive for excellence,” the deputy governor stated.
Idahosa urged students across the state to remain focused on their studies, noting that academic excellence could open doors to greater opportunities and contribute significantly to the development of Edo State.
A Father’s Gratitude
Delight’s father, Charity Amayaenvbo, expressed profound appreciation to the deputy governor for the generous gesture, describing it as a significant encouragement to his son and the entire family.
He prayed that the recognition would inspire more young people across Edo State to pursue academic excellence with renewed vigor.
