Governor Nyesom Wike of Rivers state has been appointed to lead the PDP squad for the national campaign to reclaim Edo state and make it full PDP state. The election is billed for September 19, 2020.
Although there are 14 political parties contesting for the governorship of Edo state, the battle is more between the APC candidate, Pastor Osagie Ize-Iyamu and PDP candidate, Governor Godwin Obaseki.
