The Inspector General of Police, Mohammed Adamu, has dissolved the Federal Special Anti-Robbery Squad (SARS). The disbandment followed the heavy protests against the squad across the country.
The IGP announced that members of the unit will be redeployed to other departments of the police force. He also said investigation will be carried on the activities of the F-SARS and those found culpable will be punished.
