The World Bishops Council (WBC) in Africa has called on re-elected Osun State Governor Ademola Adeleke to embrace peace and unity following his victory in the August 15, 2026 governorship election.
In a congratulatory message, the Council urged Adeleke not to victimise or seek revenge against anyone who may have offended him, stressing the need for responsible leadership after the election.
The bishops described Adeleke’s victory as God-ordained and encouraged him to dedicate his renewed mandate to improving the lives of the people of Osun State.
The Council also urged the governor to focus on the welfare of citizens and the delivery of projects capable of advancing development across the state.
The message highlights calls for reconciliation and inclusive governance as Osun enters a new phase following the 2026 governorship election.
