Chief (Comrade) Mulade Sheriff (PhD), a prominent development advocate and environmental rights activist from Delta State, has officially announced his intention to contest the Warri Federal Constituency seat in the 2027 general elections.
Mulade, who holds the traditional title of Ibe-Serimowei of the oil-rich Gbaramatu Kingdom, made the declaration in a statement released on Tuesday.
He explained that his decision stems from a strong commitment to fostering unity, progress, and inclusive growth across the constituency.
According to him, the moment calls for focused and purposeful leadership capable of addressing pressing developmental challenges.
He urged constituents to make a thoughtful and informed decision at the polls by granting him their mandate.
Mulade outlined a people-centered legislative agenda built around economic empowerment, job creation, youth development, and improved social welfare.
He emphasized his readiness to provide responsive and accessible representation at the National Assembly.
Describing himself as deeply connected to the people, he presented a vision anchored on practical results, including expanded employment opportunities and skills acquisition initiatives.
The United Nations Peace Ambassador also called for civility in the political space, advocating for issue-based campaigns rather than divisive rhetoric.
He stressed the importance of maintaining unity before, during, and after the elections.
As part of his policy priorities, Mulade highlighted plans to focus on vulnerable groups, particularly youths, women, and the elderly, whom he noted are often underserved.
He pledged that no segment of the constituency would be overlooked under his leadership.
