Leading governorship aspirant in Delta state, Olorogun Barrister Kenneth Gbagi, has said he would turn the state to the economic hub of Nigeria if elected governor of the state in 2023.
He said all he is coming to do as governor, is to industrialize the state noting “I don’t have any other thing I want to do in life order than changing the state. I will change Delta”.
Gbagi, who was the former Chairman, Legal Aide Council of Nigeria, gave the assurance when Ajele Advance Team paid him a courtesy visit at his Oginibo country home, Ughelli south local government area of the state.
The business tycoon vowed to revamp the ailing flour mill, the African Timber and Plywood (AT&P), the Sapele seaports and Atlantic Club, all in Sapele, the administrative headquarter of Sapele local government area of the state.
Hear him: “What I can assure you is that the Floor Mill, AT&P, Seaport, Atlantic Club, those ones I can tell you that within six months, I will restore them back.
“I will change the whole state and all the local governments must be developed. Sapele port before now, every two weeks, we have not less than five ships, but in the last nine years or more, no ship has come to Sapele”.
He charged them to go for their Permanent Voters Card (PVC), to enable them exercise their constitutional powers come 2023.
“Hold your destinies in your hands. The reason they say some people are afraid of me is that, it cannot be business as usual. Ichallenge you to go and bring any of them who say they want to become governor, who have my type of records, they don’t”, Gbagi added.
Earlier, the group led by its Chairman, Samson Oristeweyimi, pledged their support for Gbagi’s gubernatorial ambition.
They expressed satisfaction over his ability to develop and turn the fortune of the state around.
