Social media users in Delta are trending the sack of an aide to a Delta state commissioner whose sack letter has been trending on Facebook since the early hours of Tuesday.
One Chief Anthony Onoriode Ofoni, commissioner for project monitoring and audit on Tuesday issued a sack letter to one Awin Atare who was his aide on technical matters until the sack letter was issued.
His reasons for relieving her of the appointment is that the opinion of the lady as seen in her posts on social media run contrary to the programmes of Delta state government under which she serves.
In his view, the lady is criticising the achievement of the state government. He said the government has made giant strides which are worthy of publication by every aide of the governor. But the sacked lady is doing otherwise.
In the sack letter the commissioner dissociated himself from the posts made by the lady, insisting that he is fully behind the success of the state government.
But a search through the posts of the lady in her Facebook page reveals that most of her posts are in support of Labour Party presidential candidate, Peter Obi.
It is believed that her sack is that she is being paid by the state government under the People’s Democratic Party whose governor, Ifeanyi Okowa, is presidential candidate of the party while she is promoting the most disturbing opposition in the country.
Below is a copy of the sack letter and some of her posts on Facebook.
