Isoko North Council Chairman, Political Class, Council Staff Thank God For Prosperous Year 2024

Isoko North Local Government Area of Delta state, Hon. (Elder) Prince Godwin Ogorugba, Wednesday led the local government political class and council staff to end of year thanksgiving service at the council’s chapel, Ozoro to express gratitude to God for divine protection and miraculous deeds for the year 2024.

Reading from the book of Psalm 100:1-5, the council boss emphasized the importance of cultivating a habit of thanksgiving, regardless of one’s position or situation in life, believing that giving thanks to God is essential for preservation and multiplication of blessings.

Also reading from the book of Psalm 103:1-5,the council’s vice chairman, Evelyn Aluta, admonished christians to cultivate the culture of giving appreciation to God almighty in all they do.

The guest speaker, Pastor Raphael Asote, shared his teachings from 1 Thessalonians 5 vs 18 on a topic “the necessities of thanksgiving” which he also emphasized that God expects appreciations from every man on earth.

In another development, the chairman of Isoko North council of Delta state, Godwin Ogorugba has banned the activities of scavengers popularly know as “Iron Condemn” within the local government.

Ogorugba who made the pronouncement during an elaborate security meeting with traditional rulers, presidents-general and all heads of security agencies, noted that the scavengers activities have become a serious concern due to their involvement in criminal acts such as kidnapping, armed robbery, sales of illicit drugs and vandalism, adding that “these scavengers activities pose a significant threat to the lives and properties of isoko North people, prompting the council to resolved to ask them to leave the local government within 20 days,”.

The chairman therefore urged residents who rented or leased their lands to the scavengers to take necessary action to vacate them within the stipulated period of time, as the council will no longer tolerate activities that destroy the community’s business.

Ogorugba also warned that any landlord or resident who fails to comply with the directives to vacate the scavengers from their lands on or before 22nd December 2024 , the council will be forced to use security agencies to vacate them and take over the lands as government property, because “they can’t use their business to destroy our own means of livelihoods, properties and endanger our lives”

The council chairman, extended his heartfelt appreciation to all Isoko North residents for their solidarity and support for his administration promising , that he will continue to work for the best interest of the people in order to consolidate on the MORE AGENDA of the state governor, Sheriff Oborevwori.
